Technology is no longer just another department in a school. It shapes teaching and learning, influences safeguarding and cybersecurity, impacts operations, and increasingly plays a central role in governance and strategy. Yet many schools are still navigating these challenges in isolation, making critical decisions with limited time, limited resources, and few opportunities to learn from others facing the same questions.

That is exactly why the Technology Readiness Council (TRC) exists.

The TRC is a global community of international schools committed to helping one another navigate the evolving relationship between education and technology. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, we bring together school leaders, technology directors, innovation specialists, and governance experts to share knowledge, challenge assumptions, and develop practical strategies that help schools move forward with confidence.

Technology readiness isn't about having the newest devices or the latest AI tools. It's about building the leadership, systems, and governance needed to make thoughtful decisions that support learning while managing risk. It's about ensuring that technology serves your school's mission—not the other way around.

Every day, new challenges emerge. Artificial intelligence continues to reshape classrooms. Cybersecurity threats grow more sophisticated. Regulations become more complex. Expectations around safeguarding, privacy, accessibility, and inclusion continue to evolve. Schools aren't simply adopting new technologies—they're being asked to rethink how they lead in an increasingly digital world.

No single school has all the answers.

One of the TRC's greatest strengths is the collective expertise of its members. Across our global network, schools openly share experiences, successes, and lessons learned. Members gain access to conversations that often happen long before best practices appear in conference presentations or published reports. They learn not only what works, but why it works, and just as importantly, what pitfalls to avoid.

This collaborative approach transforms technology leadership from reactive problem-solving into proactive strategic planning.

Membership also provides opportunities to engage in professional learning throughout the year. Through webinars, roundtables, workshops, podcasts, research, publications, and our annual TRC Summit, members stay connected to emerging ideas and practical solutions that are directly relevant to international schools. These conversations are grounded in real-world experience and shaped by practitioners who understand the unique challenges schools face.

Beyond learning, TRC members gain access to practical services designed specifically for schools. From technology audits and advisory support to governance resources and compliance guidance, the TRC helps schools strengthen their technology ecosystems with confidence. Rather than navigating complex decisions alone, members have access to trusted expertise and a global network of peers who have faced similar challenges.

Perhaps the greatest value of TRC membership isn't a single resource or event—it's belonging to a community that believes better decisions are made together.

In education, collaboration has always been one of our greatest strengths. Yet when it comes to technology leadership, many schools still work in isolation. That isolation can lead to duplicated effort, unnecessary risk, missed opportunities, and slower progress. Being part of the TRC means becoming part of a network that shares knowledge generously, supports one another openly, and works collectively to shape the future of education.

The schools that will thrive in the years ahead won't necessarily be those with the biggest technology budgets. They'll be the schools that build thoughtful leadership, strong governance, resilient systems, and meaningful partnerships.

Technology readiness isn't a destination. It's an ongoing journey.

The question is: Will your school navigate it alone, or alongside a global community committed to helping you succeed?

If you're ready to build a more confident, connected, and future-ready approach to technology leadership, we'd love to welcome you to the Technology Readiness Council.
